Monday,Dec 21 2009, 11:02:47 PMA curious event!
At 3 pm today my CEO came in from a meeting and asked us to leave the office as soon as we can since it was snowing heavily and soon the road was going to be blocked. If we did not make a fast move, he told us, we might get stuck in the office. We were working in a warm office, with hot tea or coffees and talking how beautiful the snow looked and did not have a clue how bad it was outside. However, the moment he said this, we all started rushing to make a move. I decided to go with the CEO since I live in the same road as him. So me, another lady colleague of mine, and the ceo went out at 3:30pm.
We needed to go to a car park a bit away from the office to get his car to travel back home. He normally take a short buss trip to go there. But today when went to the bass stop, it had the sign that all the buss services has been suspended. We thought to take a taxi to go to that car park. We tried to phone taxis, I tried to call at least 10 taxi companies, never got the network working. So we decided to go to the Train station which is the main taxi stand and day or night whenever it is, you can be sure to get a taxi from there. In the heavy snow, we inches up our way to the train station, two girls holding onto the ceo all the way to train station, so that we do not fall. The poor guy was helping us and making funny comments to make us laugh. Anyway, when we reached the train station, the taxi stand was empty! All the taxis were gone and there were at least 100 people waiting at the taxi stand not knowing what to do next! No bus, no taxi. Some people tried to get a train, but then train does not go everywhere! At least I don't have the option to take a train. I tried to call a taxi again. After like 50 trials one company responded. But he told us all the taxi services was suspended too! So there we were, standing at the train stations, snowed in with out having a clue when we were going to be able to go home!
After trying to phone whoever possible to pick us up and finding out what’s happening for a long while, the ceo gave up and said, you know what? I am just going to go to a pub now! So we all went to the pub. We spend there like 2 hours hoping things are going to be better and we going to make it home. I was even telling that I am going to make some vegetable soup when I go home. The thought of hot veg soup made me feel better. But after 2 hours things got even worse!. So I suggested, let’s make it a night out, since we going to have to stay in town all night, let’s have some fun! I proposed first to go to Nandos to have something to eat and then watch a movie and we will see what happens after that. My ceo never been to Nandos, he was pretty interested to the idea.
We went to have dinner at Nandos, and watched Paranormal Activity. It was one scary Movie! I could not but scream a few times!! I am sure going to have trouble to go to sleep for at least a week. It might be even longer than that. I have not seen one scary movie like this since Amityville horror.
After our forced fun night out, we went back to train station with the hope to find a taxi. But didn't have much luck this time either. The forecast said, its going to take 18 hours to make the roads ready to travel again. So we got back to office and looks like we are going to have to spend a night in office chair!!
A perfect setting for a scary movie!!
Saturday,Dec 12 2009, 01:22:10 PMWhat does it really mean?
The pharse "I Love You" does not mean the same thing to men and women. When a man says "I love you" , it can mean:
* I have no idea, but I know women want to hear it.
* I’m feeling great and into myself. ...

“BLESSINGS”
Count your joys instead of your woes;
count your friends instead of your foes.
= 0 =
When I started counting my blessings,
my whole life turned around.
= 0 =
When we lose one blessing, another is often,
most unexpectedly, given in its place.
= 0 =
Every burden is a blessing.
= 0 =
God will not permit any troubles to come upon us,
unless He has a specific plan by which great
blessing can come out of the difficulty.
