شبكَ الفلُّ مهجتَهُ في ضفيرتها
لمستْ شعرَها كفُّ ساقيةِ الزهرِ
نامتْ بأنفاسها نكهةُ العطرِ
نازعها الوردُ باقةَ ضحكتها
لمحتْ وجهها في المرايا يفتتُ سحرهُ
ويطلُّ على بهوِ زرقتها
رتَّبتْ موجَ فستانها
أصلحتْ لونَ جلستها
تتهيأ للرقصِ أغصانُها الآن
ما بين فتنتِها

هي تعلمُ أنَّ قدودَ الورودِ
تكسرها نارُ غيرتها
أنَّ البنفسجَ غازلها لتقاسمه سحرَها
والقرنفلَ شاغلها كي تطارحهُ سرَّها
وبأنّ الزمانَ يطاردها
ثملاً بكؤوسِ نهايتها
وهي تعلمُ أنْ ستكفَّن قصتُها
حين يندبُ شيبَ ضفيرتها
وجهُ دمعِ مرايتها
